A brief idea of what I would like to achieve

My aim is to provide a safe and caring environment for your child, I will encourage your child to learn for   themselves   and be able to make   their own choices and decisions.   I will work closely with   the parent/carer   to gain knowledge of your child and their experiences. I acknowledge that the parents are the primary educators of the child and I aim to provide the best possible care for your child. I will be kind and affectionate, respectful of each child's different background; encouraging, praising and valuing each and every child for the uniqueness. I will help children to learn that it is good and rewarding   to care for and share with others. I will help children to learn right from wrong and the effect of their actions and encourage children to try new activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Being a childminder means, I am different from a nursery as I can only look after a certain amount of children at any one time and therefore I can offer lots of individual attention to the children.   I also provide a homely environment and this seems to appeal to parents, as they know the child has all the comforts and security of a home setting as well as having other children to play with.   I have children of mixed age so your child will learn to be comfortable around older and younger children.

I am also extremely flexible, which comes in handy if either parent works shifts. I can also offer care for your child from babyhood right through to secondary school, which means your child will have a great sense of security and continuity whilst your child is in my care.   They will participate in many different activities such as role-play, dress up, crafts, stories, dancing and lots more!

We also visit the local activity groups a couple of times a week to give your child the experience of interacting with a large group of children of a similar age, which will benefit them for when they start school. We visit the library, local parks and shops and regularly go for walks around Caistor, we regularly meet up with other local childminders in this area and arrange days out, special outings, parties (ie Christmas, Halloween other festivals also) etc.
